About Christopher Howson, MD
Christopher Howson, MD is a pain medicine physician with BayCare Clinic Pain & Rehab Medicine in Green Bay, Kaukauna and Marinette, Wisconsin.
Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Howson found his calling as a pain specialist. He believes everyone deserves a life free of unnecessary suffering and has dedicated his career to treating pain. This gives him a front row seat to the positive effects pain relief can have on his patients, and the difference it makes in their lives. He believes it’s possible to alleviate or even eliminate chronic pain, typically through opioid-free treatment plans.
Attending the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Howson then went on to earn his medical degree at The Ohio State University Medical School. He then completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Howson has always strived to deliver the highest level of care for his patients, and really looks at the individual goals for each patient in their treatment plan. In medical school and his residency, Dr. Howson learned just how much he enjoyed building relationships with his patients and following along in their journey, something he continues to value and be energized with to this day.
Outside of work, Dr. Howson enjoys running and cycling. He can often be found spending time with his wife and three children outside, whether it’s camping, fishing, or hiking.
